During you internship, you will stay at Oude Molen Eco Village where you will share a farm-style accomodation with other volunteers. The house is located in the heart of the Oude Molen Eco Village, in Pinelands Cape Town.

The House

The house is composed of three fully furnished guest rooms – one room with a queen size bed can accommodate one person or a couple, another room with two single beds can accommodate one or two people The third room is equipped with a double bed and an on-suit bathroom. All rooms dispose of desks & chairs, linen and cupboards. A large living area and a kitchen for self catering services are shared with the other guests. The terrace and garden is guarded by Bullet, the dog and numerous chickens.

In the living area, a computer connected to internet is available for you to use. Currently, you have to pay for Wi-Fi, it is 50 ZAR per 1G. The house will soon be equipped with free Wi-Fi connection.

Laundry facilities are available. A fridge, large screen TV and barbecue are at your disposal. Essentials (towels, bedding) are provided and staff is cleaning the house weekly. Safe parking is available for 2 vehicles. Finally, Hudson is more than happy to drop you off anywhere if need be and is a very welcoming host!

Get around

The train station is across the street, and it only takes 15 minutes to get to Cape Town city centre. Uber is also very popular in South Africa, with affordable rides to anywhere in the city.
Grocery stores are available in the village (organic from the village gardens) and other local supermarkets are within walking distance. 
The house is close to sports fields, a golf course, shops, restaurants and hospitals. 
Gym facilities and a swimming pool are a few blocks away.

Prices

Accommodation for at least one month but preferably two months or more:

• 2 people sharing a room = R4, 500 per person per month (R150 / night) 

• 1 person per large room = R5, 400 per person per month (R183 / night)

• 1 person per small on-suit bathroom room = R 4, 000 per person per month (R133 / night)
